For those waiting for a budget, yet great options for Bluetooth earphones, Google has your back. You can now pre-order the Clearly White Pixel Buds A for $149 with free shipping, which may take up to 10 days to reach your doorstep.
As a quick primer, the Pixel Buds A are Bluetooth 5.0 earphones that are compatible with most devices, although I’ll expect that you use them with your Android or iPhones.
Drivers wise, Google custom-tuned the 12mm dynamic drivers and they have passive noise reduction, thanks to the replaceable in-ear tips with sizes from small, medium, to large which are included in the box. And if you’re planning to run with these, the good news is that they’re rated for water-resistant up to IPX4. Just don’t swim with them.
If you plan to take Zoom calls with these, the dual beamforming microphones should do the trick- and battery life for that goes from about two hours of talk time to five hours of listening time. Oh, there’s also a quick-charge feature that tops up the Buds’ battery in 15 minutes to deliver up to three hours of listening time.
